Chapter Initiatives
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Gamma Gamma Gamma in conjunction with the Carter G. Woodson foundation provides a turkey basket to families in South Madison. In those baskets, families receive a turkey and enough sides to support a meal during the holidays.
Bowling with the Bruhz
The event is held during the late spring/early summer in partnership with Schwoegler Park Towne Lanes in Madison, WI. Proceeds from this fundraising effort go towards the chapter's James C. Wright Scholarship Fund.
Adopt A Highway
Throughout the year a group of brothers from the Gamma Gamma Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi come together to better our community through the cleanup of a major highway in the Madison area.
Mentoring
The purpose of the Woodson Boys Club is to provide life skills, educational opportunities, and access to diverse cultural events and lessons to boys who might not otherwise have access to such.
Reading Is Fundamental
The Carter G. Woodson’s Reading is Fundamental Program is designed to enhance and present new opportunities to children through the gift of books. Book distributions occur at various time throughout the year.
Monday Meet-Up
Monday Meetups has quickly become our largest Reclamation and Retention effort. Every Monday brothers gather for food and fellowship after work at a different restaurant in Madison.
Scholarship
The Rev. James C. Wright Scholarship is awarded to young men who desire to make a difference in the world and whose desire for further education is intended to enhance their ability impact the communities and world that they live in as did one of our beloved chapter founders and community leaders, Bro. James C. Wright did.
Omega Weekend
Omega Weekend brings family, friends, and the community together for a fun-filled and educational weekend consisting of a networking mixer, gala, service event and community cookout. Proceeds go towards funding programs throughout the year. G
Read Your Heart Out
This is a program in partnership with the Madison Metropolitan School District that provides an opportunity for college educated and successful career-minded individuals to read books to the elementary age children.
Snow Day
Snow day is an annual winter outing hosted by Gamma Gamma Gamma where guests can ski, snowboard or go tubing at one of the nearby slopes.
